When you join us on one of our walks we will make sure you feel safe, informed and well-fed.
Once reaching the start point of our walks we will go through a quick briefing and gear check then stroll away into the wilderness to hear the bird calls and inhale the brisk fresh air. We provide regular breaks to share our local knowledge with the group, providing an opportunity to catch your breath, take a photo and fill up on some of Tassie’s best produce. Once we reach our final destination, we’ll make sure there is time to take it all in, best done with a nice drink in hand…
We try to go beyond minimising our impacts, we want our profit to have a purpose. We are carbon positive, minimising our emissions and offsetting the remainder. Being carbon-positive means we offset 110% of our emissions through the Tasmanian Ark Greening Australia Project.
We help preserve and restore our precious country with 1% of all our booking sales donated to The Tasmanian Land Conservancy, for the preservation of Tassie’s wild places for future generations and just so that the birds, bugs and bush can keep doing their thing.
Walk on kunanyi was founded on a passion to share Tasmania’s wilderness and stories with the world. kunanyi / Mt Wellington has so many intriguing stories to be told, we think it’s best done by visiting the places where the stories live, many of which can only be reached on foot.
